Introducing the IDEAL Implant

I have been very impressed by this new type of breast implant. It has the softness of silicone breast implants with the convenience of saline-filled breast implants. Because of the internal baffles, there is much less rippling and wrinkling of the outer shell compared to standard saline implants. Thus it gives an augmentation effect much like a silicone implant. When it ruptures (as all implants do eventually) it releases simple salt water which is absorbed by the body. A silicone implant that has ruptured releases silicone gel into the implant pocket which is not specifically dangerous but can lead to contracture of the implant capsule and does need to be thoroughly washed out when the implant is changed. The FDA recommends that women who get silicone implants undergo an MRI every couple of years to help detect rupture. The IDEAL implant solves this problem. Below are some specifics about the implant. DESIGN

Years of research and testing led to this innovative design, developed to better meet the needs of women wanting a natural look and feel without concerns relating to silicone gel. A series of implant shells nested together and two separate chambers hold the saline filler. The unique internal structure controls the movement of the saline for a more natural feel, while reducing folding and wrinkling, thought to be the main cause of implant rupture and deflation. On the outside, the edges have been lowered for more natural contouring to the chest wall.
