Lower eyelid blepharoplasty with fat transposition- Cleveland Plastic Surgery case of the week with Dr. Medalie

This 49 year old patient from Cleveland, Ohio came to see Dr. Medalie of Cleveland Plastic Surgery at his Cleveland east side office in Beachwood, Ohio. She desired eyelid rejuvenation and on exam was found to have large lower lid fat bags with  puffiness and a sharp separation between the lower eyelids and upper cheek tissue. She elected to have a lower eyelid blepharoplasty with shifting of the lower lid fat excess over the rim of her orbits to smooth the eyelid  and cheek junction. During the surgery her eyelid muscle was also suspended and extra skin was removed. She is shown 3 months after surgery with excellent reduction in the lower lid bags and good smoothing of the eyelid/ cheek junction.
