Case Details
This patient contacted Dr. Medalie to perform a revision of his previous top surgery. He had had surgery by another provider who performed a modified peri procedure with extended scars. As can be seen on both sides (right much worse than left in the picture), there is retained glandular tissue as well as excess skin. The nipples are also too large with widened scars around the inferior portion. On careful examination Dr. Medalie felt that the best treatment for the patient would be to convert him to a full double incision mastectomy with nipple grafting (which is really what he should have had in the first place). The post op picture is shown 1 year after his revision and he has good symmetry and fading of the scars with excellent chest contour and nipple size and position. His DI and grafts top surgery revision was a success, and he is much happier about the appearance of his chest.
