Cleveland Plastic Surgery Case of the Week- Large Volume Liposuction

This patient from Youngstown Ohio came to see Dr. Medalie at his Cleveland East side office in Beechwood. She desired total body liposuction and agreed that she was very overweight with extreme body disporoportion to start with. She exercised daily and felt that liposuction might help to jump start a new diet plan . Dr. Medalie consented to proceed with large volume liposuction and explained the risks of the surgery (which required a two night stay in the hospital). The patient agreed to proceed and during the liposuction surgery, 13 liters of lipoaspirate was removed from her flanks, hips, sides, and thighs. The patient had a long recovery but ultimately did very well. She improved her diet and exercise regimen and is now extremely pleased with her new body.
